Systems Engineer

Northrop Grumman, Defense & Aerospace Industry

Applied system safety techniques and identified, reduced, and eliminated hazards and their associated risks when the hazard(s) could not be eliminated for the Sentinel Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. These techniques included performing preliminary hazard analyses (PHA), health hazard analyses (HHA), operating and support hazard analyses (O&SHA), system hazard analyses (SHA), subsystem hazard analyses (SSHA), functional hazard analyses (FHA), etc. Ensured technical and required safety documentation, including hazard analyses, are in accordance with requirements from Department of Defense Standard Practice for System Safety (MIL-STD-882E), Air Force Space Command Manual (AFSPCMAN) 91-710 Volume 1-7, Range Command Council (RCC) 319-19 and 324-11, Title 29 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Standards from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), etc. I have been recognized with two Northrop Grumman BRAVO awards: one for contributions to System Safety Engineering and another for my work on Electro-Explosive Devices (EED)/Hazards of Electromagnetic Radiation to Ordnance (HERO).
